Introduction

Designing a club for Millennials is easy because they like drinking, and as a generation, they have always liked classic designs. However, with Gen Z, they crave freshness and personality above all else.

1.   Experience-centric, not product

Making your club more about the experience rather than product-centric, focus on adding a wider range of activities that cater to the variety of your audience. Add character to your club with bold colors and statement walls that bring in curiosity and people who share the same tastes.

2.   Reflecting your personality

Make sure your clubs reflect the personality you desire it must show and follow through in color preferences, design choices, furniture choices, layouts and menu names. Having consistency in your theme and design is very important for the club to communicate its personality.

3.   Consistency in branding

Your brand needs to be consistent throughout the entire club, be it different chairs, different lighting, different materials that reflect the way your brand is perceived. Making even your employees act a certain way to encourage your brand belief system.

4.   Don’t go generic, have a personality

Doing the same things as everyone else in your industry will do you no good as this generation despises repetition and lack of personality. Making your club a new experience that will work for this generation you need to take into account the kind of audience you’re expecting and how you can cater to it.

5.   Chasing fleeting trends?

You might think this generation loves trends and yes, they do however, overdoing a trend or making a club simply out of one particular trend might get you traction but in the long run it’ll benefit you to have a branding that you can stay consistent with. If you think you can stay consistent with one particular trend, stick to it.

6.   Use humor to your advantage

Using humor in your interiors helps people connect with you at an informal level, which helps in customer acquisition and trust building in a customer base. Having humour and fun in your interiors and designs to make it a good photo spot to also help your club gain more traction from other people.

7.   Make your menu healthy

You don’t need to have a fully healthy menu, simply including a few options for people who care about their health helps you broaden your range of audience that you can cater to. No need to be over the top with the options but simply having a few vegan, vegetarian options helps your brand be more available for people.

8.   Customized experience is key

Build a club where you give people the choice of doing something different with their form of experience. Build a temporary tattoo parlor or a customizable bouquet building or anything that aligns with your club's theme. Make your customer the happiest they can by letting them choose their own experience.

9.   Build a community

Organize group events and offers for people to come together in groups to get together and have fun as a community. Make your club a place where people can regularly connect and make friends and feel like a sense of 3rd home for this generation that is overworked, overexposed, yet the loneliest generation at present.

  1. Don’t slack on quality

If there’s one thing you must not do is it’s lacking in quality and choosing the cheaper option, make your club the best place for people who appreciate the quality of things exactly like you. Some people appreciate quality and this can help you in finding an audience that is based in a little higher price range that appreciates your quality.

Conclusion

Making your club the perfect place for Gen Z to get together and as they’re known to spend their disposable income on things they find important. Having Gen Z as a loyal customer will help you as they are one of the most loyal fan base until they are unaccepting of your brand values. This is why it’s important to get them as a customer base. Hope this helped you in understanding in how you can design your clubs.
