The primary design thought emanating from the brief was to speak the language of nobility and splendor. Aspired to function as a permanent residence there is an implicit sense of Luxury and Elegance with a touch of tradition as you enter the house.
The overall space offers three bedrooms – master bedroom, a kids bedroom and a guest bedroom, a beautiful puja (prayer) room with a combined study, living ‐ dining area, large family room and the kitchen.
The living area, the rather constricted space has been cleverly maximized to provide an airy feel and balanced the rich hard wood paneling. The dining table is custom made in Italian Marble with an inlay done in mother of pearl.
The whole project is perceived as a modern space with a lot of emphasis given to detailing. The simple and elegant design of the living room sets the tone for the home as it ushers one in. A custom-made Jaali crafted from wood screens the entry way from the rest of the house.
Well-planned lighting creates the necessary ambience and also effectively highlights the feature elements. An air of subtle tradition pervades as you pass the puja room to access the bedrooms.
Each room is specifically designed to suit the lifestyle and personality of the client and therefore has a distinctive style. The neutral color palette, wallpapers, furnishings, décor elements and accessories adorn the house.
Storage is of utmost importance in a growing child’s room and there’s plenty of that here. A simple study table with chair clearly distinguish the areas for work and relaxation. An edgy wallpaper and bright yellow shutters subtly introduces an energetic touch to this kid’s room. A timeless interior design style like this can carry on well into the teens.
Doused in neutral hues, this bedroom radiates a relaxed, serene aura while rich brown finishes enliven the space. The uncomplicated design is a nod to the 90s and is done keeping in mind easy navigation for the elderly.
The thoughtfully carved out spaces marries aesthetics and function seamlessly,also adding a touch of granduer through the wall finishes and detailing.
