    DESIGN TOUR.. A look inside the offices of one of the world's leading companies and creative bus

    Great office design strategies help elevate employee productivity and boost morale while reinforcing a corporate identity. Agile workplaces help achieve these motives by creating different working spaces within the office environment, to ensure that the staff have complete freedom and flexibility to work where they want. The goal is to open out spaces in an innovative and creative manner for optimal utilization and to enhance the effectiveness of team communication. The 3 key elements of Agile Workplaces are Open Plan, Unique Zones ,Resources and Storages.


    Procter & Gamble is made of many individual brands, each serving customers in different ways—but all with a focus on making people's lives a little easier. They also concentrate this focus on their offices as well and hence have prepared specific guidelines/templates with respect to their office designs.


    In this article we will talk about their Mumbai Corporate office. Here the spaces have been designed following the company guidelines and based on the principles set as global standards for them worldwide.


    P&G RECEPTION AREA
    • Reception - The reception has been designed to fulfill different functions. The company security policy requires an employee to be present with a visitor if he/she has to access the main administration section. Hence discussion spaces have been incorporated into the design of the reception in such a way that waiting areas can be comfortably converted into discussion spots.

    Cafeteria - the Cafeteria serves multiple functions, opening up into many adeptly designed meeting spots. As opposed to the standard meeting room settings, these creative spaces have been provided for open discussions and are well equipped with amenities such as T.V units for viewing presentations, etc.

    The entry to and layout of the Cafeteria ensures that it creates a perfect setting to enable vibrant moods of the user


    • Mother’s Room - Designed to keep infants occupied and safe, enabling mothers to concentrate on work freely. New mothers can also use this space for feeding their babies.

    • Focus Rooms - Designed to allow an employee the opportunity to step away from the daily stresses of work life and to achieve some peace and quiet.

    • Multipurpose Training room - Designed to allow a easy access to training , learning & development inhouse, the company wanted a space which could be used as smaller lecture halls when needed & a full fledged hall during town halls.

    An open plan - designed to ensure maximum collaboration, interspersed with huddle rooms & telephone booths in the periphery with ambient lighting and brandings following company codes spruces up the work culture for these corporate hoodies.
